Let's get ready to Rumble ❄❄❄

Looks like the North East should escape any warm up at the end of the week taking us into our fifth month of falling snow which started way back in November, December, January, February...March and who knows we make it half of the year with a month of snow.

One of the reasons I love the North East, that after being the friendliest people in the country who even talk to strangers in person, outside of forums ?

Enjoy the ride friends ⛄❄⛄

As an adopted north-easterner who's never moving back down south, I couldn't agree more!

Seconded ! Moved from Barnsley and never going home , love it up here, people are brilliant (except the savages who think it’s acceptable and/or advisable to go out to my local on Friday night in a grey adidas  tracksuit)

ICON 12 showing a decent amount of snow Tuesday and Wednesday Thursday and most of Friday the snow seems to struggle to move inland though later Friday attention turns to what is moving up from the south

Yep, that's probably the 'warmer' air just above the surface of the North Sea pushing in, that will soon mix out. Just before change in wind direction, and clear sky at 18:30 it was -1.5 now +1. It'll drop again ?

Showers pepping up near the coast a bit earlier than expected, Itsa coming folks. Say adieu to your lawns and daffodil heads, it may be a while before you see them again ?

Anybody got snow falling under the lamposts yet?

Anyone expecting our yellow warnings for snow to be upgraded to amber (or even red) at any point next week?

Wouldn't be surprised mate, if the models are anything like right we deserve at least a couple of red ones. Not that I would suggest a North East badge of honour of course?
