Went to the Pennines in the end. Should have gone to Teesdale, but there wasn't time, so settled for Weardale. Couple of shots...

Here you go... I ventured fully out. 27991638_1593131500722016_1995411088115499008_n.mp4

Just a quick merry Christmas to fellow weather peeps in here... hopefully the current SSW will produce some colder weather in a couple of weeks time.

Although no snow tomorrow it may look a little festive for some with frost and fog in places.

Another very mild day but once again rather bright with hazy sunshine all day here.

Much colder mid next week.

Not long to wait to see where we go with the SSW.

As long as the high pressure sits around for the next week or so i can see it shifting favourably to allow the cold to dig in.

It has been a long wait for snow this year, perhaps next week will see our fist snow cover. I would like to wish all members of this particular thread a very happy and white New Year.

I really think this has been the quietest this thread has been over a winter period since i joined, just shows how slow and boring the weather has been on the ground so far this season.

Are all the usual suspects from the NE still around???

A few wintry showers if we lucky. Yes this cloud been rather disappointing.

Looking back end of W/C 14th for a few snow chances behind low pressure systems most likely which will hopefully give way to a more blocked pattern that is favourable for some proper cold

Hopefully this thread will come alive when we hit mid-month , and stay alive until March with lots of talk of cold and snow. Alas it has been a very poor start to the winter, with barely any prospects of snow to talk about, and generally no weather to speak of other than the freezing rain event. Next week looks more interesting with chance of snow showers in places with a bit of height.
