Beebs late forecast showed the showers continuing through the night and they should begin to die away by about 10am with sunshine following through the rest of Saturday.

Looks a decent hit over Redcar . Showers turned more to big wet flakes rather than hail

These will become increasing focused across NY Moors and East Anglia today, Esp after midday.

Shame really the wind wasn't more of a NNE/NE'ly as they look pretty decent today.

Knowing that this sounds like the last chance for snow this year going off the models it’s extremely frustrating to miss heavy snow showers 2 miles east.

It just seems yesterday they missed and now today just going to miss again.

Whats that saying again bring on summer it’s less stressful lol.

Well this little episode played out nicely for a lot of our region; good to see!  Must have pelted down through the night as when I fell asleep the depth was around a couple CM where as this morning it was a few inches, like a winter wonderland out there.

Good luck for those today wanting to see snow.

Lovely snow showers now nice big thick flakes. Just a shame the wind direction is going to change. A day of this would have been brilliant.

last shower incoming for this current cold snap. Will it be the last... who knows it don’t look great.

Apart from a few more showers in the south of the region, thats it for a very short NE blast.  Still waiting for one with a deeper cold source.

Looks like at least a week of Atlantic weather coming up.

Could the N.Sea snow machine get fired up again before winter is out........

So that is it then for most of us for at least the next 7-10 days.

Less cold next week with maybe some short lived sleet/snow overnight Sunday into monday.

Very cold again tonight mind.

Will the models show some interest in the coming days???

It’s not all over yet as we all know end of Feb/March can deliver snow here but the prospects don’t look great.

It’s been another frustrating winter after so much promis and great charts ssw etc it’s just not delivered anything really.
