Latest Met Vid Looks good for our region

Yes that does look good for our area. Tomorrow day and night should be fun. There seems to be quite a continue stream of showers.

Definitely more shower activity - if it looks interesting by 11pm I may stay up late

Excellent forecast, most areas should see a covering. Watch those showers really pep up in a few hours time

Could this be the first showers for the Tyneside area developing?

Got a nice little covering / sugar coating from the last shower so already some laying - radar looks canny (ish) for a few areas, once the north sea fires up a little more.

Next 36 hrs should see snow showers just about anywhere in the north east. Inland and elevation always helping, but snow down to sea level also looks probable at times. Could be some reasonable accumulations in favoured places by sat AM

Temp will always rise when the wind comes off the sea (when the land is colder than the sea).  The coast gets more effected and when the more the wind picks up the more its modified by the sea.  Thats why sometimes in a moderate easterly in can be 3c and rain on the coast yet at the likes of Consett they can be in blizzard conditions

Does seem to be intensifying.  I notice that some showers intensify more when they hit land and others not..

That one thats over Ashington has intensified

Next couple hours looks interesting doesn't it...the snow machine has started.  Just need them to have a bit more to them before I get too excited though.

I think everyone will get some from this.  But as always there will be favoured spots that get a streamer......
