Lovely day today once the fog burnt back offshore . Another crap week coming up . However next week looking really good I just might get a bit of sunbathing in garden after work . Knowing my luck the fog will be back In

Yes agree it did turn into a lovely day. Not sure why we have this warning in place looking at the radar it's all very light stuff moving up from the south

Not so light this morning, more to do with total accumulations over the warning period and some sodden ground?

Spring on hold for the rest of this week.

Shame as it was lovely yesterday and eventully got my first bit of work done in garden lol

Close to 10mm here with heavier burts since dawn.
Might be another hour or so before it clears to .... fog and drizzle.
None too warm at 4.5C

Another awful January day. Mid afternoon, getting onto mid April, current temp 5.4c!! It'll take months of above average just to average out the last 10 months.

Everywhere is waterlogged when walking hounds. Noticed that not all of the daffodils are out yet, never seen them trying to flower this late.

Temp actually just nudged above average yesterday, one day, and now we're back into well below for day's on end. Same trend as the last 10 months.

Think I'm suffering from SAD!

:yahoo:

Looks promising, could be higher than that by mid next week onwards.

Caution needed as a slight shift of wind off northsea can make a real difference to eastern parts of our region as the north sea is at its coldest now.

Which in turn is giving us a real cold and damp few days at the moment and temps more akin to january.

Another very dissapointing day with temps not getting above 6.c again. Even had some hail mixed in the rain earlier this evening.

Thankfully from tomorrow afternoon an improving story with temps on the rise but still some hefty showers and rain through weekend and to start next week.

Thereafter, increasing sunshine, southerly winds and maybe 22.c by thursday next week.

Early taste of summer!

Temps FINALLY on the rise and some sunshine don't be fooled by all the cloud symbols we won't have to wait until Wednesday for sunshine

After some early morning brightness, it is rather cloudy again here. much warmer feel to the day mind.

Think it will be midweek before we see long sunny spells and by then temps in the high teens (possibly 20-22.c on Thursday)

Some rain likely tomorrow afternoon too.

We've touched 11.8C, which would be good for late February.
Blue sky now though, it's lovely. Have cut grass for first time but the blades hardly touched most of it.
Tomorrow will be frustrating with patchy rain later in the day, and only mild-ish.

Crazy the difference in temperature although I've known it be 10+ degrees colder in Redcar in summer than Middlesbrough on many occasions

A bit mixed today, some decent sunny spells but also plenty of cloud and some showers late morning/early afternoon with the breeze taking edge off temperature.

Tomorrow will again be mixed with most of the rain hopefully staying out west.

Wednesday afternoon and thursday the peak of the heat and long sunny spells.

This so called early Summer seems a bit hyped, a bit of sunshine for 3 hrs on east coast lifting fog from 9C to 13C with intermittent rain has made fields more waterlogged.

Local farmer had to Move the cows to different field as they were tearing up the grass it's so sodding. I'm just after something dry this time of year, rather than oranges and reds on 7 day mean charts which aren't producing the goods as advertised.

That's early to have them out though, another 10-14 days or so inside here is the norm
The drying winds today have made a big difference already.
