Rain here, but a little sleet in heavier bursts.

Should all be snow by around 10pm onwards but of course that depends on how much ppn left on front as it moves slowly west/south west.

Pennines will get a good covering

Good few hours yet to wait for us I would think 10 at the earliest if the band is still here of course.

Yes i know mate but the band is moving east to west now and looking at the radar its nearly past you, have to wait and see what happens behind it, still well over 3 degrees here and DP is 1.8c

Rain here also. Not worried about this front dropping snow on us or not. Think we'll have enough north sea steamers setting up just like beast 1 to get our fill over next couple of days.

Serious amounts of rain for sure, Ive now 2 ponds in my unkempt garden, ( nature reserve as i like to call it)..!! The mice that live in the pile of wood i have stacked in my garden will have to move to higher ground if this persists, luckily they still have a few 'floors' to move up to..!!

Second band of rain developing nicely as it heads inland, this may bring the transition from rain to snow as it passes through.

Yeah your right the main band it moving away now. Wish the radar went further out to sea so we could see what was developing. I'm going to watch Marske vs Stockton at Stockton tomorrow not sure it will be on and if it is its going to be bloody freezing.

Although the 850hpa temps are GFS generated on the radar it does show those -12 850's getting closer..

Marske's ground is up on a hill and very exposed.I went there 2 yrs ago in late July (extra preliminary FA cup round) and it was a smashing day albeit a tad windy. They beat us aswell, canny team Marske.

Ignore all that Seabreeze86, should read posts correctly..I see its Stocktons ground your going too..!! doh..(its been a very long day..!!)

It's the FA vase semi final so should be a good game, unfortunately Marskes ground is flooded down one end of the pitch so both legs will be played at Stockton on there 3G pitch.

I don't think it will be on either, on those 3G pitches the snow settles on them so easy.

Still just rain here temp and Dew point dropping away now though 3.1 and 1.7 at the moment

Pretty much all snow now, still of the wet variety... Didn't take long and earlier than expected.

The Fa Vase..We won that last year..South Shields FC 4-0 Cleethorpe Town, Was a great day down Wembley.. We beat em yesterday aswell 2-0 although I didnt go as I thought it might have been called off like most games have this late winter early spring..Loads of backlogged games, luckily we've got a strong squad...
