There looks to be a trend for the showers to die back away from the South of the region which you can see if you run the radar sequence for the last 2 hours

Still nothing here apart from a bit of light snow as the showers past to the south and the North.  I am in the snowless corridor as highlighted.  Ever the large shower  thats in the corridor which is right in land formed after it went past me.   Cant see there being anything here until the wind direction changes or the trough arrives

I think it's disappearing from all but the far north of the region... to be replaced by the stuff coming in later?

Obviously there is something at play making them miss us, as a random distribution we would have got hit by now.  No idea what it is.

Yes mate but like you said earlier it may give us a good dumping but I would rather see it fall and experience it which is unlikely to happen,

Absolutely. Problem is I stayed up last night... I'm too old for 2 nights on the trot.

I’m going for a kip with a 3am alarm to check the radar , if there’s nothing showing I’ll go back , if it’s two hours out I’ll be up at five - genius

Yes its another one of those short lasting very light snow showers that have amassed to a mere dusting since 4pm.  Getting cynical now.  Off to bed

Doesn't surprise me having seen a couple of idiots driving along at normal speed up Sunderland Road and leaving it till normal braking distance before the lights at the Traveller's Rest. Skidded all over the place.

Giles Gate roundabout I think. Tesco lorry also stuck on claypath, snow starting to drift around now.

I didn't see these incidents but experience around here is that people drive far too close in ice conditions!
