Anyone paying much attention to models lately?

Just had a little look, things seem to be trending colder again for us up north.

Gem = cold and snowy with easterly throughout

ECM = Staying on the cold side with further snow as systems move up from south.

GEFS = trending colder again with a lot of members v.cold still

I had a brief butcher's today. Is the southern/central blizzard back on? Don't think it'll reach here.

East Ireland is going to get close to a METRE of snow. That's the big story.

Yet another near miss for me. Still yet to see a heavy shower

I reckon these have your area in their sights..5a95ba3aee790_ScreenShot2018-02-27at19_54_40.thumb.png.3ddce3e69db3c2033764a65457b4b54c.png

Hopefully,  it's -1 here right on the coast with a strong north-easterly wind never known anything like it

It is a lot of snow for sure.

Looks likely the south will get there blizzard, will chance to stall to the south of us and probably fizzle out.

Are you right down near the front then? When I walked down this morning taking the little one to school, it seemed to think out the further I got.

I'm just off coast Road, there was a lot of melt on the paths and roads towards town, but on the grass and in the shade hardly anything melted

Yeah, was pretty much the same up this end. Much of it is back now though and high hopes for overnight.

Yeh that wind has really picked up in the last hour or so. Can only mean one thing - heavier showers especially as we are heading in to even colder air.

Just back from walking the hound. Saw jams everywhere then a huge heavy shower started, so we  had no option but to shelter inn the pub?. Anyhow from there we saw stacks of cars not getting up one of the main hills in low fell which is a bus route. Still more coming down.

It's coming down hard here almost horizontal,  tiny flakes,  this shower alone must be putting 2 cm down

Thanks for the update. The MOD thread is next to useless atm concentrating on Thurs and Friday in some far away fairyland. Much prefer the company in here ?

On a side note, I do miss the orange skies the old lamps use to produce. The skies look more violet when heavy snow passing through with the LED's. Not as good in my book.
