Well eventually got those classic winter showers that start off as hail then gradually turn to heavy snow.

A sleepless night looking on the cards :cold:

I had the triple whammy: stayed up till 3... woke wife up when I went to bed, she went mad... then son woke up and didn't get him back to sleep till 5... result: 1 and a half hours' sleep.

Local bbc radio ramping up our snow prospects. Bbc National went through all weather warnings in the south and midlands but didn’t mention the ones up here and Scotland

I know sky and bbc news today going on about the south and said this was the worst affected area. They mentioned the North a bit but they did go over the warnings a lot so that's something.

Present time there are scattered showers and you have to be lucky to get a direct hit.

What we need is for them to become more established and start merging into larger showers which give more prolonged snow fall.   Any ideas what time that is expected to happen?

Temp here -0.7c and falling

Same here keep miraculously missing me but I think my luck is about to change,  temp dropping away nicely down to 1.1 now

Blizzard!! Heavy drifting snow

That was the shower that went just to the north of me.  It was much smaller then and RED in intensity.  Looks like its dissipated and grown.
