And intensifying as well. Much less scattered than a few hours ago so I'm happy!

Hi all

really interesting we have 60% chance of heavy showers from 6. Just a few miles inland and four miles north, serge field is 90% and in the Amber warning. That bizarrely seems to match the greater number of showers showing north of the tees valley. If it’s right it’s impressive forecasting !

This was my back garden in 2010. Let's see if it can get this deep again. Sadly the little fella in the middle is no longer here to measure the depth.

Maps outage

Due to unprecedented levels of demand on our website we have temporarily replaced some of the less visited pages and unfortunately are currently unable to provide our usual weather and observation maps. You can find an up to date forecast for your area on our forecast pages and also on our app which is available on iOS http://apple.co/1TuKd5t & Android http://bit.ly/27QQB0C. In place of the forecast maps, our presented national weather forecast will be regularly updated on this page.

Not often you see this on the Metoffice website.

Where are you located? Would you add to your profile so it makes it easier to identify where is being affected etc?

These showers are getting heavier. If they continue like this after sunset we could see a decent dumping

Well eventually got those classic winter showers that start off as hail then gradually turn to heavy snow.

A sleepless night looking on the cards :cold:
