this is painful, watching snow clouds rolling past about 10 miles north, while im basking in un broken sunshine!!!!!!

Met still going with that no amber patch for our region. Just colour it in for god sake and let us be dissapointed if it don’t happen rather than angry it’s not lol.

For your part of the region do you mean? I'd wait and see what happens on the day you're only just outside of it so anything can change.

Snow is melting fast in the sun, despite being only 1 degree or less.  If its going to be what the met predict for tomorrow (-1c), then we could see some impressive icicles develop

The stronger sunshine can certainly be felt now when you get in it with shelter from any breezy quite a quick thaw on my side of the road which gets the sunshine
