Some bigger snow showers heading in now, right across the region.  But beyond those there is nothing showing on the radar yet.image.thumb.png.825c1aec3c3e7ba3b510d8461d5ef84a.png

A nice opener from the beast overnight with a good 3 inches of snow here which seems to be a popular number across the region.

Much colder uppers currently moving back in now with heavy snow showers ongoing.

Tomorrow looks brutal with -15 uppers and strong wind/snow showers.:cold:

Really quite a few inches, how many? Picture of Gateshead shows a skittering at best..

Was this amber warning justified - possibly, has it delivered, not at all, many places have seen an inch at best.

Alas, wait for the convection through the day, some very heavy snow showers likely.

9.5cm as measured on top of the car on my way to work this morning.

Latest FAX with a long trough showing off the coast.

My perfect road ruined by the bin men! Anywhere else in the country they wouldn't be used enough to snow to still be running in these conditions!

The shower about to hit Ashington and Morpeth looks the biggest of the day so far.  Will miss me.

That looked a good one.  There is another smaller band heading your way, but beyond that, all the way along the coast there is nothing of significance shown on the radar as yet
