Rain during the first half of yesterday evening, accompanied by thick fog from 2030. The rain became intermittent after 2200 and the fog eventually cleared around 0400. A late clearance of cloud has led to a clear and sunny start to this morning.

The rain and sleet eventually cleared early last evening leaving a mostly cloudy and milder night. A few light showers through the early hours. A clearance arrived around dawn, turning cooler. Bright and sunny spells through the morning, becoming quite windy. Enough cloud by afternoon to produce a few scattered brief showers of soft hail.

 

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday 4.6∞C.

Minimum temperature overnight 3.7∞C
