Cold - Yes Instability - Yes Prolonged - Yes I just wet myself - Yes!

I quite often agree with your sort of sentiment, as I'm one who opts to look at the most likely solution to fit the signals rather than the preferred one But, equally impartially and with intended

Sorry, I just thought I’d walked into the moans threa.. oh wait. <passes around a big bag of grips> No sooner do we get a cold spell within sight it astonishes me that time and time again some p

PS it still somehow creates a 1045mb area of low pressure just off the coast of Norway , it won't stop us going into the freezer though :D

    Jet profile decent...

    Holding pattern setting up...

    Stunning synoptics AGAIN gfs.

Salivating over supports for this run.

And fully expext to note prolongment.

This is more like it from the GFS 6z, bringing more of the UK back into play, we can only hope that this is closer to the final outcome than the worrying trend of the ECM which I would tend to have more confidence in than the GFS.

By 192 on this run the Greenland vortex is in absolute tatters, compared to the ECM which has a fairly strong section still in charge, quite a big difference

Typical - thought southern areas were most at risk from snow but luckily as GFS precip are a load of tosh this far out I won't take much notice - yet

    Edit just seen 222hrs - you're forgiven !
