PS it still somehow creates a 1045mb area of low pressure just off the coast of Norway :rofl:, it won't stop us going into the freezer though :D

This is more like it from the GFS 6z, bringing more of the UK back into play, we can only hope that this is closer to the final outcome than the worrying trend of the ECM which I would tend to have more confidence in than the GFS.

By 192 on this run the Greenland vortex is in absolute tatters, compared to the ECM which has a fairly strong section still in charge, quite a big difference

Typical - thought southern areas were most at risk from snow but luckily as GFS precip are a load of tosh this far out I won't take much notice - yet
