The models just keep on giving.  What's great about this is that all of us are in the game here.  No "northerly hills", or "exposed coasts" about this setup.

A truly epic period for model watching and now in the realistic timeframe

Well we are having nearly every other eye watering winter synoptic heaven !

Why not add some retrogression too !

Heavens above !

You get to the point where you don’t have any more superlatives !

Man the 240hrs chart!

Take a look at how circular the upper high is, nearly perfect block just sitting there!

Still cold air coming in from Europe at288hrs, by this point its actually 'homemade' cold over the cold snow fields of Europe.

As others have said that GFS is incredible. Firstly for the sheer length of time we are under -10C uppers and secondly the absurd amount of snowfall such a weather pattern would bring.

What I find most remarkable is that after each one of these fantastic runs we all say it can't get any better but the 06z says it can!

"This is the best run I've ever seen"

"There hasn't been a run like this since before the internet era"

"This cold spell could be historic"

How many times have the above been posted on this forum in the last few days or so? Absolutely incredible given the 5 years we've had to endure. Lets hope this is the beginning of another run of cold winters as the sun goes for a well earned, extended sleep.

As others have said, incredible 06z run, bitterly cold, snow for the entire country, follows the previous run and the ECM run. UKMO incredible this morning too, do we finally have model consensus?

Yep, although this time I genuinely can't see it getting any better. Que insane 12z's.

Well some of our worst winters were preceded by February Cold. I won't elaborate for fear of going too far OT.

Bang on there ! I was honestly expecting some watering down off the 00z , the only thing that’s watering is my eyes in disbelief and joy ! We are actually getting upgrades from run to run

One things for sure, after several runs of absolutely stella, perfect charts, if this all collapses and downgrades now there's going to be some serious fallout in this thread

What's better than a cold bringing Scandi 1065 High?

A reloading cold bringing Scandi high. That's what!

Is that a record breaking high on 06z?

Please no repeat of "that ECM" a few years ago when everything was a dead cert, even down to t48 and then... well we know what. Can remember even the met, bbc etc were certain. Is this set up Any different? Are we in a better position? Or could it all go horribly wrong again?
