Up to 5.4 here today and mostly sunny. It’s down to 2.9c with a DP of 0c.

Feels a lot cooler...is there somewhere to look up current uppers over us?

Must agree with that analysis - definitely a nip in the air this afternoon in town.

Actually edit that ECM getting its act together now, Day 5 (Sunday into Monday) looks the start at T120

That HAS been consistent for the past 3 days which is a good thing

Evening good peeps ?

Hope everyone is ok and well just seen the last few posts and there seems to be some kind of seriousness in the posts. I thought we all in here were gentle kind souls.

Look the current situation stands like this cold is coming yes we know that but nothing is nailed in terms of snow just yet. We have still got 3 days to get through before we reach Sunday and things could change for the better or worse none of us know that.

One thing is for sure though is that we are all on this journey together and we all want our final destination. Bothering others or saying bad things is not going to make this train go faster. Let's all relax and keep our fingers crossed I am sure there is someone listening to what our hearts are crying out for  we will get there but patience. We are all in this together lets make the journey fun for all.

Wishing you all a great evening

regards ????

????relax peeps it's brilliant I told you patience huge upgrade on ECM love you all

phewwww ????

I had a very pleasant drive from home here in St Leonards-on-Sea to my hospital appointment in Sidcup earlier today in perfect weather conditions.

Bright sunshine to begin with but cloudier as I headed north. The temperature on the car thermometer ranged from 4-7c. I doubt the conditions will be as favourable for my next appointment next Wednesday though.

Looking good for temps..

Just hoping the Easterlys produce convection for us in the S.E as anything organised on that run seems to effect the midlands , north again.

Things can and probally will change again...

Just really hope the flow is not from the north west but directly from the east as it needs to be for snow anywhere away from Norfolk and Kent.

Should really get going early hours of Monday and strengthen during the day with the -14c uppers arriving mid morning currently.

Would this little shortwave (low?) crossing east to west give us SE lot any snow if it came off exactly as it shows?

(unlikely I know, just interested)

There was me worrying about how my mini would cope in this coming cold spell.

Well not anymore.........

The car died today on the way home from work.

Time for a car with extra snow chains I think.

I don't how many times people have to get burned for them to realise it's foolish to get this excited and put all eggs in one basket this far out. Some are gluttons for punishment

yes Sunday overnight from the latest run of ECM

A covering for most by openers Monday- a few cm already by then-

What do you think of the chances of that 12z GFS coming to fruition (shortwave in the North sea) cutting the real cold off?

I would say this time of year you could add 10 degrees to those 850 temperatures for our maxes. Nights would be much colder.

I’d be expecting about 0 during the day and possibly as low as -10 over night if we have any snow cover ?
