I just had a very intense hail squall, wind picked up very quickly indeed, all surfaces have turned white within 5 minutes! I stuck my arm out of the window, and it felt like needles against it.

I am 250 foot above sea level.

I think you’ll see sleet / hail or snow. That’s if they get there. :D

Blimey Daniel I was about 3 miles away from a snow shower last night and it evaporated in quick smart time . ? I wasn’t a happy bunny especially as someone sent me a clip from there of fat juicy flakes coming down .

Since they’re coming up from the south they may stand a better chance typically they don’t fade out when in the summer! Anything from the north west is cursed here, maybe chilterns has an impact.

Yep concur with that LL, only small hail but quite intense and the patio was covered in minutes.

Croydon Borough Council have been alerted by MetO to expect moderate PPN risk from 22:00 hrs. Gritters have been deployed to treat A & b routes

M27 blob keeping an eye on. :clapping:

Well, hopefully within 10 days we won't have to worry about whether the showers make it to us, or if they will be of snow, because we will have -10 uppers over us:yahoo:

The blob has grown I’m expecting sleet if I’m lucky. Indeed. :friends:

Waiting to see what this next shower brings. Red on radar so hoping for a good bit of hail.

Just had a heavy polystyrene ball shower, turned everything white briefly. Temp dropped to 1.2 but has risen to 1.9 now it's passed.

Hail/rain mix. Ice pellets that cover the car.
