still not in the Monday warning after new update, and fully agree with Ian f about the express, I hope people do listen and don't get into trouble unnecessarily due to ignoring warnings.

The below has been added to the warning for Tuesday into Wednesday on the Meto site so looks like we will be seeing some amber warnings soon if not today then definitely tomorrow..

Separate Amber warnings are being issued to cover those areas which currently look most likely to see impacts

So far the Amber warning is just for the East of England.

Week ahead with $hittyknickers

Looks like the BBC are going with areas from Norwich northwards and North York Moors as the sweet spots.

End of Week still looking fun for down here

Temp outside in the shade here in Seaford East Sussex is 3C. (37f) So its too warm for snow. The air is very dry and Bar still 1018. Superb Blue cloudless sky. If only that pesky wind would drop it would be lovely especially in the bright Sun.

Sunset today 5.32. Good health everyone have a nice Day.:hi:

Also is it true that powder snow produces more depths than our traditional wet snow or is that a myth?

Good luck to all those in the ne and se of our area it has been a long time coming! I feel my area will have to wait until the possible event on Friday before seeing any decent snow but you never know and we did well early December so won’t be grumbling! Good luck and get pasted! Of and don’t forget to post pictures ?

Definitely posting professional photos if it snows here in Brighton

The Amber warning is because of the more persistent band of snow heading from the NE on Tuesday which is going to miss us to the West.

EA and SE will be affected more by showers so any Amber warnings issued here will be probably be short notice as they will be based on streamers setting up.

Lots going on!

Actually looking quite tame for Northern and Western parts of London, lucky to see anything at this rate.

I agree! My enthusiasm for areas west of London is waning now :(

Temperature and dew point pretty steady now. Dew point has been -3 all day. Temp has only increased by 0.1 in the last 2 hours. Now +1.1.

Probably just get a dusting of snow here in East Berkshire. Need the winds to stay E’ or ESE’ for the Thames streamers to affect us better

I agree, but we may get lucky. You’re just down the road from me, so we’ll probably see similar conditions.

Those Beeb graphics for the week ahead look rather conservative, certainly for this area or is this largely going to be a north east coast thing?. Winds seem to be generally between east and then maybe south east by Wednesday so not sure if that's good for streamers towards the Thames estuary.
