Trying to convince people that the forecast isn't rubbish is proving an uphill struggle -  "I'll believe it when I see it"; "a load of hot air" ; "all a fuss about nothing" :nonono:

Sadly these are the very folks that are going to end up in the most trouble

People are going to be very surprised late Sunday on wards. It's a little sad to think about the vunerable being unprepared, too.

Blame the regurgitating vomits of the mail and express for the last decade of lies to the public. Nowadays most readers just got numb from all the lies in the past.

Always going to be the way, to many false alerts put out nowadays, especially express newspaper, makes my blood boil...lol. People have lost trust. Only this time it's looking like it's going to happen.Look east forecast online giving a maximum daytime temp of only minus 4 on Thursday. That is going to to shock alot of people.

Even the southeast weather forecast had it dry for next week, but the lady doing the forecast said possibility of snow showers on Monday. No wonder people are poo pooing the situation.

Also got  to remember the vast majority of the general public don't really have that much interest in the weather beyond check the BBC Weather App or catching a forecast on BBC News etc.

BBC have updated their online forecast now.

Always unbroken snow Monday to Wednesday!

For London

Had a look at various forecasts and apps and they seem to be picking up the prospect of snow showers even here now. Good old Accuweather giving me 1-3 inches from 'snow squalls' later Monday and into Tuesday. :D

Nice to see them finally catching up!

It's only the Met Office.

Not like its a reliable source ;)

Anywhere could get settling snow within the next week.

I would imagine there will be quite a divide in London early next week. My sense is that east and south-east London could benefit from a Thames streamer; north and west London may miss out a on the heaviest and most persistent snow. Similar to December 1, 2010, when places like Bromley were buried, while north of the river there was a dusting. If I lived in north Kent right now I would be wetting myself with excitement.

I live in north east London and on 1st Dec 2010 we had a few inches of snowfall. Certainly not just a dusting.

I'd say they're just being a bit cautious, almost everywhere will see snow settling if it falls. Ground temperature, air temps and upper temps will be perfect for it.

A question for the more knowledgeable ones here please and apologies if has already been asked: As I live in the north west of the region I wonder why at the moment we don't have a lot of snow forecast for my region while the famous 91 easterly was excellent for all regions. Is the setup differnet with this easterly? Thanks
