Well the showers have arrived here, but of course  when the precipitation makes it this far it has to be rain:angry:

Rain here but freezing on the ground.. Lethal slippery wise.

I think because im a bit further inland tonight it will protect us from the onshore flow-

Just 0.4c here so expecting snow if anything makes it...

Looks like that on that camera... And that's only halfway up hill.. Sleet here now.. Belting it down

Nice crisp morning , a little bit of ice on the car and a ground frost. Snow is great but you can't beat a nice frosty morning.

Morning all. Anyone order a Thames Streamer? ??

Could do with the pressure being lower, but with a decent ENE squeeze on the isobars, we could get Mother Thames firing. All conjecture at this stage obviously, but at least it’s an option on the table...

wow could it be we actually get this mega easterly ,hoping just once it comes off

Kent normally does best from these set ups with heavy snow showers the stronger the wind the greater chances of more inland places seeing heavy snow just need a channel low to give everyone heavy snow with gale force easterly winds whipping the snow into huge towering snow drifts like 87 .maybe just once we see a cold spell to rival the great cold blasts of years gone by.

it's the stuff of legends this could be ,please don't fail us again weather gods !!

Morning all. I'm eager to see how today's front passes through, I'm sure we will have plenty of wet wet rain.. but I also have an inkling that we may see some wintery PPN similar to Sundays showery convection. It certainly still feels chilly out but I wouldn't expect to see any accumulations or anything like that! Just maybe a few flakes this afternoon. Have a good day everyone!

Well good luck with that - it’s 5.3 c Dp of 2c and a blustery swesterly wind here in Surrey not sure it will be snowing by the afternoon !!??

Haha I specifically didn't say snow! I just mean that because of the colder uppers there is likely to be frozen material in amongst the rain. Defo not expecting a beautiful wintery flurry, more like the most frozen of dour downpours ?

So it’s action stations for a polar bear-esque finish to the winter season...I’m on the fence as they say but flying the flag for the cold lovers outcome. Anyway blustery day presently, 4.7 degrees, look to be some showers zipping through any minute. ☔️???

Morning all.

No chance of snow here as it's just started raining.

Has this hurricane been given a name?

It must be quite gusty just judging how quickly the front has sprinted across the radar this morning. When I woke about 7 I thought it was behind schedule.. now I realise it's just rapid!

It's been gusty all night!

Thought the rain would arrive around 8 and stay until around 3.... but that was last night. It's probably changed since then!

Comical, just driven along Hastings seafront where it’s producing fake snow, the wind is whipping foam off the sea and blowing it about, they look like giant snow balls! ??
