Did it really warrant an amber? In any case, its another poor call with positioning. It happened with yesterday's morning system.

Yes, very poor once again.

Manchester has been lucky and seen some snow (a couple of inches outside of city centre) and I appreciate it, but I was looking forward to some big totals later in week and looks like PPN will once again hit Midlands/Wales, and avoid NW (despite originally being forecast to hit us!). A lesson learnt for me this winter! Anyhow, I emigrate back to Australia in a few months and would have been amazing for us to see a massive dumping of  snow. Meanwhile my hometown in the SOUTH (Ipswich) has seen around 20cm of snow with more to come, and those in Midlands and Wales will see their third or fourth big dumping of snow this winter. No doubt when I fly out to Aus after 5 years in the NW, you will see some amazing winter weather again!

Those 5 years have not been good for sure and you also missed out on the epic 2009/10 winter.

You will have to take a trip to New Zeeland for your snow fix.

Is that circulation in the area highlighted?

Running the loop, it does look like a ‘kink’ in the flow, rather than a circulation. Could be a little low forming?

I dream to visit NZ one day but the long flight puts me off.

I also hate heat so it will have to be in their winter time.

I see what you mean, it is becoming more circular as you run it on.
