The showers crossed the pennines without losing too much but the fells just demolish them before getting here.

Just woke up and only a dusting here so far since 11pm last night.

ESE wind is a crap direction for me here.

Winds are turning more ESE which will affect shower distribution, more northern parts of the region in the firing line today compared to today, but then turning back to the east, which means tonight could see some very hefty widespread downfalls.

I don't have that problem here , you get 2 lots of mountains to deal with :nonono:

I know, really frustrating, its a miracle we managed to get any snow at all.

Showers noticeably losing strength over the Pennines now there's a south easterly gnawing away at them.  They look quite potent on the other side, but we'll be getting scraps today I think.

Anything coming my way mate

There’s a lot upstream but generally light as they move over the tops.

Most model output has heavy showers pushing over us around lunchtime and mid afternoon.
