...and another hail shower starts up.  Quite heavy this one, should last 5-10 minutes according to the latest radar.

Looks like we are about to get hammered with hail/snow shortly. Given the time of day now, anything that settles might just stick around till morning and hopefully lay the foundation for further top ups tonight.

Very fine hail at moment but it' settling. The sky looks full of it. Hope it turns to heavy snow.

All about the next 3or4 hours really..we need a train of showers to get any covering.

Wind vectors should shove the showers our way until about 3am-ish.

It’s unlikely that anything that’ll fall will stick around past rush hour tomorrow, but it’ll be nice to see!

Really snow scene now with proper flakes of snow instead of ice pellets or hail.  Still very wet on the ground, so will need to keep going overnight to have any chance of a decent settling.

Yeah, melting very quickly between showers still here. Temperatures are surely moving down towards zero now so hopefully snow will start to settle and survive on the ground soon.

A lot is moving in from the Irish Sea currently. If it’s snow, they are falling at a max of 5mm/hour roughly, but rattling through a lot quicker than that.
