Didn't really get in on the act on that last shower, might have been in the gap between the two clusters.  Still I'm happy with my snow fix so far.  Lots of speckles on the radar out to the east if they can somehow merge together we could still have an interesting night ahead.

Strange... blizzard for a solid 30mins in chadderton you must be very unlucky dodge

Snowed quite a bit again.....but wind so strong can only really see it in the drifting... wind gusts strong just whipping it around during showers....-6c...

Wow what a day. Snowed overnight with scattered showers from the off. Had a decent spell for the last hour with a good six inch now on the ground

I got some light stuff, but I'm very happy with what's fallen past two days.  The unlucky one's are those just west of Manchester because the way that shower died a death was slightly worrying.  It almost evaporated into nothing between the 5 minute update.

Now I'm keeping the eye on the blob/streamer east of York now.

If it lives I reckon it be 8 ish or bit later?

Hopefully the showers will go through the less hilly bit which is called the Ribble Valley.

This is why I love anything from the east or North east. No slushy crap,  just proper powder snow. .

also, what’s sapping the energy? The showers seem to make it over the Pennines but as soon as it gets past Manchester they die. Is it the very low DPs?

I actually think that the radar is struggling with the echoes due to the extremely low temps. Look at 7:00, then 7:05. Everything lowers in intensity within 1 frame.
