Looking at the visible satellite, you can see a streamer has developed between the southern tip of Norway and northern Denmark. Seems to be moving west/southwest towards Yorkshire. 

This may be of interest for our region this evening.

I would say these showers are holding their own or even intensifying slightly s they cross the pennines!

 Right I’m doing an experiment. I’ve put a snowball in a bowl and I’ll be able to tell if the snow is subliming or not by seeing if there’s any water in the bowl after it’s been in the Sun.
