Regional Forecast for North West England

Headline:

Further snow and sunny spells.

Today:

There will be more persistent snow early this morning. It will soon clear to the southwest though, and will be replaced by sunny spells. Into the afternoon further snow showers are likely though, interspersed with some sunshine. Maximum temperature 3 °C.

Tonight:

The snow showers will continue tonight and they will be occasionally heavy. There will be a sharp frost, with the clearest skies in the west. Minimum temperature -7 °C.

Wednesday:

Wednesday will be a similar day, with snow showers. The winds will strengthen too, making it feel bitterly cold. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

There will be little change towards the end of the week, however gales are likely on Thursday and Friday. The winds will ease into Saturday, with fewer showers likely too.

3-4cms here so much more than I expectex, indeed, the north west did ok out of this, snowed on and off all night.

Amber area in the Midlands stayed bone dry....Oh Dear, What a Shame, How Sad.
