Anyone seen that band in the channel? Very intense band that. Bring it up here.

The one getting blown closer to Ireland by the Easterly ?

Notice the North Sea is firing up the snow machine again in the NE (red circle)

What we need and probably what the charts are expecting is more bands to fire up directly East from York (green circle) for the Easterly to blow over us

Think that's our only hope right now

I wonder why Chorlton remains stubbornly snow free most of the time? Must be one of the worst places in Manchester for snow. The missus has a relative in Sale and they rarely get any as well.

I dont know but the chorlton snow dome really is a thing!

One notable statistic tomorrow will mark the 14th consecutive day with no rain here, good going given we are the second wettest town in England. Alas what precipitation we have had has all been snow, tomorrow it will be snow, Sunday probably more sleety but not true snow. Oh why can't we get 14 consecutive days with no rain in the summer..

Any significance in the change here? Something seems to be happening just off the coast... 5pm and now...

Leeds Bradford too so there's a chance we might just get something

That's encouraging as that is further North. I must say, I am confused as to where this snow is coming from as our metoffice regional forecast says snow showers tonight, especially in East of region. This doesn't seem to tally with the band creeping up from the South and the forecast makes no mention of it. Sounds more like further showers from the East. Who knows?

I'm presuming it's from the East as the NE has started getting bands coming in off the N Sea in the past hour or 2

We're all busy looking to the South, are we missing something sneaking in under the radar from the E/NE!?
