It's been seriously disappointing here in Newton. The kids have desperately wanted a snow day!

The rain today radar is totally hopeless today. It has shown a weird little band of snow over Altrincham all day and that band is making it impossible to tell if the band from the south is creeping North or not. I'm guessing its stalled just south of us again. That and the rain shadow effect.

Im going to try to convince myself that i hate snow. That way I can think how lucky i am to keep just avoiding it :D

Funny how there's always been that sliver of precipitation showing from South Manchester to Knutsford showing on the radar.  Just goes to show how the high ground puts up that barrier to anything light or frontal coming up from the South/South East.

Surely Northwest Wales warranted an Amber warning today at least? They have been absolutely pounded all day, especially Anglesey.

It’s always either 30 or 40. I’ve always understood 30 to be possible and 40 to be probable.

It ties in with the HIRLAM anyway mate, light snow off & on but I have a feeling we may get a 2 or 3 hour heavier spell in the early hours.

Hopefully it can tap into some of that energy over in the Irish Sea. There’s every chance of that. If it does could be great

Would have thought so if the shading had remained light blue, but there are now some green echoes... so probably snizzle now.
