My met app says light snow from 9pm Chorley.

It does seem to be making incredibly slow progress northwards. It's got from Widnes to Warrington in an hour, at that rate it will arrive here at about 1am in the morning.

People in places like Cheshire are not going to get anything from this band. Most high res modelling shows a big hole in the N extent around Cheshire.

That about sums it up

With my hand firmly gripped to these;

 

The Irish blizzard appears to be backbuilding just below the Isle of Man off the Fylde coast, the front could push north to the same location and draw out energy from the back building low with the front forming a tail to it pushing westward over our region before crossing the coast. snow for everyone and decent amounts.

If it does reach up here, wouldn’t expect much in the Manchester area, rain shadow springs to mind from the direction it’s going in.
