If you run the radar animation you can see it intensifying over London where it should surely be weakening, so definitely picked up a feed from that massive clump in the irish sea, at the same time the red areas in that clump seem to be intesifying so that itself is giving off a lot of energy. Someone's getting buried in Ireland either way.

Only slight thaw here better than expected. Winds here dying down too. It was sun shining this morning but it's more cloudy here now.

THat band looks so good. It just needs to shift and/or develop north!

I’m atm 0.9c, after it getting to about 1.4c earlier, so it’s on the way down.

The "snow starved" south east have done really well this week

Studying the radar, it’s filling in in south Cheshire again like yesterday. Is this a true reflection? I still can’t believe how windy it is.

That's not even going to make Manchester on current trajectory. Getting pulled into the Irish blizzard.

Dont know.

Theres still Northerly and Westerly momentum - the Straits of Dover are feeding it.

This is what concerns me as well. Main thrust of energy in band is sliding West with scraps inching North. Also have the concern that NWS raises about rain shadow effect. This will likely shred any remaining scraps to nothing for Greater Manchester. Hope I'm wrong.

I think it will mostly dry for most, maybe some flakes more likely in the south. A gradual warm up so you can bet the next band that comes will make it to the region with less difficulty, be mostly rain at low levels and stall.

You couldn't make it up...I have watched it march north with no hesitation or disintegration and then it hits Crewe and the past few frames it disappears over us. Honestly, it's been the theme of this spell
