Gf just spoke to a pregnant woman who set off from Cumbria to Leeds yesterday morning and is stuck here 30 miles away.

Not good.

Just been out with the dogs. Really strong windchill. Awful.

i can’t see where any snow would come from today at all.

If it snowed now there'd be an emergency here more than there is.

Combined with the wind, it’d be awful. There wouldn’t be level snow, but huge drifts!

Our best bet is going to be showers from the East. However, I fear Southern parts of the region will be too far South. Met office video forecast seems to indicate showers as does the text forecast. We will have to see how the warnings are updated in a couple of hours.

Sky News weather showed a possible couple snow showers but the main snow was south or NE of us. Weirdly, our region currently has the most warnings than any other! ?

I know these charts get plenty of stick but this one was remarkably accurate for the distribution if not the depth of snowcover

Apart from the east of the region, it’s been pretty good.
