Spare a thought for a snow lover on a stretch of the coastal area of Dyfed and slightly inland around Aberystwyth at this moment. Then you would have something to complain about.

Amazing contrasts across parts of Wales from very deep snow to next to nothing.

We had several inches in the garden yesterday, but the wind has blown much of it away. It was the wrong kind of snow. Bring back the marginal wet stuff.....lol!

I agree. Wind will have sent it flying! Most of it probably in the Irish Sea somewhere!

To be honest it never came close! Stalled around cardiff. There was lots of anaprop on radar last night. This is how frustrating it was for ne.60F42A55-FBEA-40E5-BCD3-C5D663A01539.thumb.png.dbd1bb56d1ad039549ba05d3789e1c38.png

was same all night

Not sure of prospects for later. Metoffice forecast mentions snow showers, but think we are too far South in this part of the region. Probably too far North for anything decent from the band moving North later. We will see....

Euro4 illustrates the above.

Metoffice have me practically snow all day at 60% risk every hour. I’m not convinced, unless the radar miraculously fills out.

Think it's because of the wind rather than snow

Some strange weather phenomenon at the moment. Radar has precipitation hugging cornwall coast but not crossing land also not moving from welsh coast even though wind will be pushing it

I don't even think we will expect anything today. In fact I'm quite sad. :cray:

Crosby sst down to 4.4! Wow way below average. If this spell had legs and went on another week or 2 we may have seen ice floes on the Meresey for the first time since 63.

They made the decision early yesterday evening to shut our daughter's school today. Absolute joke.

Yeah same here. Unless there’s energy transferring up from the low. But I can’t see it??

Latest fax has low still centred over france stalled with warm front in channel to kent. It occludes tonight then moves north. But there is strange phenomenon today so nothing is certain
