Hi do you think I should still go to the ELR in Summerseat on Sunday?

I’d have thought you should be ok and the tops will look stunning in the snow.

getting here might be the issue if the roads don’t open again.

The wind is mental. The walls of the house are vibrating and roof creaking with some of the major gusts

WTF is going on with the winds, out of nowhere this evening I have what feels like at least Gale force winds up here...snow is blowing everywhere (bit its falling very lightly). I walked the shop before and was in shock how cold it was. My hands were numb in gloves within minutes. The wind is still roaring outside, seems to have come from nowhere?!!? Without doubt it is THE coldest I have felt in the UK.  The wind has caused the bits of snow I have up here to go into drifts, they do look amazing.

So, what's the latest with Emma? Any further east? lol

There's definitely something up with the radar or something going on between the snow coming from the clouds to the ground

Is it possible the snow is getting evaporated in the air before it reaches a level that it's visible ?

Radar show light snow over head for the past 2 hour now but at sea level, nothing, can see the clouds going overhead so I don't understand why we're not getting the precipitation

I've got the meteo Pro app and just got a 'moderate snow in your area' notification, but like others have said - nothing despite radar saying there should be, including NW radar.

Light snow again.

Lots of people on other threads saying everything is much further east than forecast.

NetWX vs GFS vs radar. Models aren’t correct. All to play for?

A couple of trees down in Bacup now, this wind really is nasty and warrants a warning in its own right.

With gusts like this I'm struggling to tell where it's light snow or this powder snow blowing about in the wind.

Surely if everything's further east than forecast, we should have much chance of catching decent snow as it pivots towards Ireland? Seems as though that isn't the case so far?
