christ I wish that low pressure was a tad further east.

Tell me about. Most of it's going to fly into the Irish sea. Developing a bit on the east side now though.

It shows now the band going all over the mersey wirral area and then expanding to the macnhester area.. surely cannot be right on the radar.. its getting confused now with so many fronts of precipitation haha

Thats crap it really is..

I'm getting wound up now, which the weather should never do so going to take a break from the radar and if it snows then great but can't watch it painfully disappear. Would be ok if I knew other belts would defo hit us but I fear they will when temps raise and then it won't stick.

Some intensification in the area south of Sheffield and east of Stoke. It is moving west/northwest.

The band seems to be slowly intensifying as it pushes North, including the area approaching Sheffield

Forgive me if this is a stupid question..? Could the radar be picking up blowing snow as opposed to falling snow, hence showing pink over areas that don't actually have falling snow? Just a musing! Meanwhile current weather here in East lancs is very light snow but the wind has certainly picked up in strength in the past hour! It's blowing clumps of snow off cars!

-4.7'c in Buxton this afternoon despite the extensive cloud-cover, winds picking up to 40mph making it feel more close to -13'c when exposed to it.
