Snap:rofl:

Haha brilliant! This will be very interesting if it does. The sky looks snowier than it did this morning, and the wind is horrendous!

Stopped here now...

The drifts are something to behold tho...think this week will go down in folklore round here for years to come.

Brilliant mate...what’s our chances for this band down south reaching us?

What are the chances of his band from the southwest reaching parts of our region this afternoon tonight especially the southern parts of the region?

Yes it does, bigger flakes are starting to fall now and it does feel darker. Hopefully this is the start of the reinvigorating of the band? Maybe our friends with the posh app could update us?

Believe it or not, the hills facing me that devide us from Mossley only look to have a dusting. The wind has blown the snow away.

It's westward bound to Island unless the models are wrong

It's funny you say that as I was only thinking the other day "Why don't i seem to remember 2013"...and it's because it wasn't memorable here. I know I'm frustrated about the lack of snow but I know it's just because it's such rare synoptics (sub zero temps) that I really want to see a proper event. I have seen some amazing things but I don't want to wait another 20 years until I see it again!

I certainly remember it, I lived in Altrincham at the time and got absolutely zilch out of it whilst the rest of the country appeared to be snowed under.

Around 2pm should arrive the 1rst band comming from the midlands following the weatherpro radar.. then goes on until at least 3.15 and then the main band behind.. could make it up to the Manchester city center before starts pivoting west.. lets see what happens.. all depends on the direction and strengh of the wind :)

Will that cover the south of the region too ie Merseyside Wirral etc?

It should do as it is pivoting west... maybe goes even further north that first was projected.. I will keep a close eye to the radar next frames :)

The red colours of the precipitation not very dark so I believe will be light.. but like was said before its an organised band comming from the low that a few days ago was in Iberia.. so different of all this eastern showers we have been getting from the east the last hours. We will see what we get as radars are a good tool but always change from frame to frame

Doesn't tally with the warning areas up North! Do they not proof these maps before issue!?
