Yes, it brightened here temporarily a while ago, and seemed like the sun would break through. Now it has gone dark again. Snow continuing to pile down.

Happened a few times now snow hasn't stopped.

The Met Office app has extended the snow until 18:00 now. from 11:00

We have had very light snow all night into this morning and it made no impact on the dusting. It's now melting in spots.

I don't think it's melting. More blowing around, it's strange here near Chorlton, mod snow but no added accumulation

Moderate horizontal snow continuing in Manchester City Centre, continuing to pile in from the east.

Amazing conditions.

I have snow drifts AND icicles at home in Withington with a covering of about 8cm. bg_snow.gifbg_snow.gif

Can you believe the warnings ? Pretty much none stop snow since last night including blizzards and even the Meto warning continue to go around us and just about miss. Oldham more so the east should of been amber atleast imo. 15cm easily here and then theres the drifting..

Near whiteout conditions continue.

Drifts in garden nearly 4ft and it' snowing heavily as it has been for hours and hours. The wind is brutal and it' still -4°C

There's is a backedge to the snow but it still going to be a few hours before it pushes through or dies off.  For example the East coast is mainly clear now.  So the North Sea shower generator has been turned off for the time being.  Hopefully when the wind dies back, and the snow stops I'll be going out to sample the winter wonderland out there.

It has been fairly sparse on the radar near the East Coast for several hours with showers developing a way Inland. There does seem to be movement west with the back edge though.

Watching 80 miles further South as the front approaches. It' a nowcasting situation.

The same drifting here too and this is just the sheltered back-garden :cold:, out front facing East there's a nice build-up of snow that's now at least 1/4 way up the door.

Yep. Hard to measure the depth as it varies so much. But quite deep in places.

Been snowing since yesterday for hours and hours, got accumulations but not as thick as I would expected to be honest. Now we've got howling, gusting winds, still snowing but partly cloudy

I know mate! It’s starting to be on a par with 2010 now! Interesting to see what happens with that low

Bright here with the odd glimpse of sunshine. I'm going out on a bike ride soon. It's not too bad out there as the wind has died down a bit.

I'm glad those further east are having some good snowfall ?
