Constant heavy snow for hours here now! Getting on for a foot with drifts 2 or 3ft. All school closed, roads are ridiculous.

Its funny they’ve issued a red warning down south now but nothing here when it’s been none stop!

Yep - those of us on the East side of the region think are doing very well.

Here in Marple and toward Glssop we  have 6" with more in drifts and sideways snow. Some raods are near impassable

M62 closed at Milnrow, snow ploughs trying to clear it.

Tameside prioritising high routes and requesting people not to travel.

Yes, this is a right tonking now, I'm surprised traffic is still flowing because I cant see this being passable in Scouthead or Lydgate so would imagine we are cut off.

Non stop moderate and heavy snow for hours. Massive drifts from snow blown off fields only 5 mins from here on Ashworth Rd. The road is under there somewhere. Must be getting on for a level 20cm everywhere.

So lastnight it makes it across easy, today the wind is stronger but it doesn't get any further than Manchester but looks more organized! :cc_confused:

Stronger rain shadow effect due to stronger winds?

Apart from the initial fall in the early hours of Tuesday morning, which had largely disappeared by the evening, it's been disappointing. Plenty of flurries yesterday night, but nothing more than a dusting.

I though that happened more in Manchester, here we are normally ok being slightly further west.
