Snow showers merged, now a proper blizzard.

Should be a red warning around Pennines and  peak district. It really is a danger to life.

I can imagine as it's literally like that here! I can't believe how bad it's getting...got to decide whether to venture into work and I will have to drive back up this hill later.

Can't imagine how bad it must be up on the tops of the moors, the Pennine tops will be taking a hammering... We've had sustained spell of light to moderate snowfall her, but the wind is driving it into drifts.  The radar doesn't look like petering out anytime soon.  No work for me today, so slightly overjoyed at that

Amazing snow drifts here and radar just keeps intensifying not due in work till 11:30 so will see what it puts down inbetween. Best snow event for years.

Wow, I thought easterlies didn’t deliver anything other than snizzle to the shelter of the Pennines around here (Ramsbottom).

Deep blowing snow. Some areas wind scoured, others knee deep plus. Great scenes! As memorable as the big falls In 2009 and 2010 now. Not quite as much snow here, but colder and powdery with more drifting.

Great stuff!!

Radar is either lying or the snow is blowing all the way here from those showers. Only annoyance value, but it’s nice to see.
