continuous moderate snow looks like it's getting heavier and could be with me for some time!

To be honest I’ve found both pretty poor although the met office have been better for precipitation on the whole. The BBC app is useless, although I find their forecasters on Twitter, are excellent but of course that are mainly ex-met office

Not sure how these showers are getting across. Very odd. Will it continue through the night anyone reckon? I’m salford way And expected nothing as it was dry as a bone all day with the same flow.

Oh dear, I'm still out of the updated warning of 1-4cm... I suppose this must be icing sugar that's been falling out of the sky since 8 o'clock. Never mind (whatever it is) is still coming down

unfortunately not as good as other parts - your in a yellow for Friday but I think nearer the time the NW might get taken out of the warning, your in one of the few places right now that isn't in a warning, ive never ever seen the UK plastered in so many weather warnings before.

measured it about 2 hours ago and it was 4mm, probably 5mm now, its been very light for the last 2 hours after getting a couple of short moderate bursts initially.
