How much snow is there in eastern Manchester compared to western Manchester?

There was just a dusting in Eccles and Sale today.

I'm north West of Manchester and not seen as much like Oldham,  Rochdale etc.

The showers seem to die a death around the Bolton area

also, what’s sapping the energy? The showers seem to make it over the Pennines but as soon as it gets past Manchester they die. Is it the very low DPs?

Believe so, the air is just too dry to the west of high ground although they do seem to hold there intensity better in Cumbria, apart from unfortunately In Cumbria Marra's location.

Light dusting here again from a light snow shower, just want one shower to hit that has a green/yellow intensity on the NW radar,  not much to ask surely?

The intensity of snow here has surprised me today. I am also quite surprised an amber warning wasn’t made. It was pretty severe and still is. Certainly worse than other areas within the Amber

To quote the much used adage , get the cold here first and the snow will follow ,or words to that effect

Looks to me like the showers are finding it harder to cross than last night so no chance for us on the coast

Can't make head nor tails of the radar tonight... one minute the showers are dying a death, then they get re-invigorated again.  Pot luck everyone.

Coming down heavy now in Warrington, wasn’t expecting any near coast tonight. Is there more expected in this part of Cheshire/Merseyside?
