18:20 and it’s -3.9c already. Crazy. Only 0.7c away from last night’s coldest temp.

These showers type setups really don't float my boat. Give me an alantic front coming in and hitting cold air. 8-10 hours of heavy snowfall

Think there’ll be anything coming Merseyside’s way tonight?

Radar looks great but in reality nothing is making it this far because of the Pennines, because it's so cold though even light snow would do the job.

Snap.

In all my years I've never seen winter hill with no snow or very little. Yet all winter the hills to the east have had a  covering whenever we've had snowfall.. very confusing

Decent depth of snow here now, probably around 5-6 inches from a good number of showers during the day.

yesterday was disappointing IMBY but today has pulled it round again and it’s been snowing hard for the last hour.

just hope the showers intensifying across the east reach here.

Just watching the latest BBC forecast and it's really doesn't push the low that far north of the Midlands...some parts of Wales could get 24hrs or more of continuous snow... they might snatch a 2nd Red Snow warning at this rate.

This is where Saddleworth comes in handy. Just east enough to catch to the showers before they die!

Lots more on the radar, I’m sure some of them will make it across the Pennines.

Haha yes i think im just on the saddeworth border...i can imagine up at old original at scouthead the drifts will be huge exposed to that easterly wind.

Mega cold spell this is turning into!!
