This is from the Yorkshire thread... looks where they think the streamer will be... The Met Office must assume not much will make it across the Pennines?

*Edit*

If we carry on the amber to our west then a lot of people will be happy.

Im watching too as my wife is a a community nurse. She covers Droylsden, Denton and Audenshaw and the weather there can fool you into thinking its ok here.

Update... Total white out conditions

So close to a Shower half a hour ago.:yahoo:

That close one Flake blew into the garden.

I ran out collected it and have put it on Display in the Freezer.

So near yet so far.

But am enjoying your Tales of The Beast From The East:cold:

It' poor for us on the coast, any shower just fizzing away, we had a 5 min spell of moderate snow but not one bit actually lied.

Think it' game over here now as far as snow is concerned, only a very light covering of snow and I can't see anymore accumulating now sadly.

It’s possible Merseyside could get some of this if there is a trough converged increase in precipitation

Interesting HIRLAM this morning which handled Tuesday morning's low very well.

I hope these are troughs that are being predicted, then we might have a chance.
