Neighbours having renovation works done and i've just had a slight chuckle for a few minutes watching one of the workmen trying to get their transit-van up the road without any luck, he's given up half-way as there's nothing but ice underneath the fresh snow. Amusing for a minute or two until remember i've got to be out in it at 11am.

I once had a fall on scafell also. Many moons ago now. It’s surprisingly easy.

Worse I had was Harrison Stickle - (the bit thats always in shadow) - lost a crampon - a boulder stopped me - cuts and bruises.

Have given in and took the dogs in the field. Wind strong and drifts starting to form in the lane. Snow deep enough to easily cover my boots and it keeps on coming!!

Just noticed a streamer setup for the south of the region in the next hour or two. If it hits it could give 2-3hrs of heavy snow. But whether it can survive is the question. I bloody hope so

Very heavy snow in Bollington and Macc. Thick across the main roads. Driven down to Wilmslow and the sun is shining and just a skittering

Completely stopped here and the sky looks less promising.

The difference with yesterday is that today there are no developing cumulus clouds.

Just flurries here, hopefully something more substantial later, interesting seeing powder snow blowing down off the roof while I'm sat in the lounge.
