Hasn’t rendered in 4K yet, but here’s a brief clip just after the peak of the shower

Worth noting that most areas that the sun decided to rudely melt, are now white again

Guys if u look at met warnings  I think u will be a tad happier. It has moved north and is getting very close to a lot of you. Also been extended to sat night and likelihood has gone up a tick. Some of you will be in the game for a blizzard I would guess. Fingers crossed.

Heads Up...!

Pink echo returns over Harrogate and Yorks heading SW.

Looks like they are nearly joining - not quite streaming though.

Cant post Radar pics.

Heavy shower just gone through here, I expect if there's more of the same in terms of intensity it won't be too long before the accumulation builds up.

It’s really weird actually. In the Sun 0% of snow cover and absolutely no evidence that there was ever any, but in the shade and to the north of objects 95% of cover and still really dry powdery snow. My garden shed roof has got half with loads of snow on and half with none!

That's late Feb/early March sun for you. Some people will argue until they're blue in the face that it's the temp and DP that affects melt rates more but I've seen time and again the effects of the strengthening sun on snow cover.

We have seen today low temps and dew points below freezing yet the snow has disappeared...

I prefer December/January cold spells for this very reason.

Well I’ve still got loads left, probably because I have lots of shade so at least I can still make snowballs.

That's a narrow window of opportunity. Grab it while you can I say!

In the shady sheltered areas we have up to 2 inches of lovely powder snow now. Sun has made short work of the other areas though!

It is but that's what it's like in our location. We either have the ocean or the sun against us, dependent on the time of the season.

Are we seeing a Humber streamer starting to form?

Yes, we will probably miss this just to the south of us. Need to look more north.

Tomorrow the wind will turn proper easterly.
