I steer clear of that place when snow is coming and stick to the regionals. Soft southerners - I wont lie, it does make me smile a little if the North is due snow and the south is due rain

Anyways - Suns out and its melting the snow fast.

Tsk! The heck they whinging about now? They'll be needing rain anyway seeing as they're always banging on about how low their reservoirs are. They get better summers than we do up here...and they can't resist rubbing it in when the summer comes. Well this is our time. Suck it up Jessies.

Snow is melting from roofs but not from grass and shade

Yes, I expect it to last in the shade.

Getting partly cloudy here now as the showers approach from the hills.

I got slated in the model thread for saying that the sun will make short work of any snow at this time of year

im sat here watching it all rapidly melt with the temperature still below freezing

Yes not quite sure why people thought that the sun at this time of year wouldn’t melt snow! The snow melt will be less tomorrow ok the colder uppers and at altitude of course.

Yes, full cover here in the shade but everything else being destroyed by the sun. Next band of showers almost here...

Same here regarding blue sky, sun and falling snow!!!  I had a lovely walk this morning in the snow.  It was delightful to see that in places the kerbs were camouflaged with the snow!

Showers seem to be making OK at the moment. Interesting to see what they do as the front this morning seemed to intensify at times.

Moderate snow. This is encouraging for the rest of today as this shower has made it across the hills with ease.

Heavy snow now. Large flakes. Melting quickly on impact with road and pavements though.

Edit....Even heavier now and almost settling on pavements and road. Will be good if these showers can continue to feed in after sunset.

What with the Roads and pavements now wet with the snow that was on them having melted, safe to say that Ice will be the next big hazard tonight.

Suns gone in. We could do with another hour or two of heavy snow to top it back up

Just been to Astley Park and the wind there is absolutely bitter!!

I don't think snow on the ground will melt completely due to that!!
