Couple of cm's of powdery snow here. Beats the wet stuff we normally have hands down. Nice and crunchy to walk through and clearing the path can be done with a few light sweeps of a broom instead of the sweat inducing back breaking shovelling which clearing the wet stuff involves.

Just popped into the SE thread. Some of them have almost 20cm down there. Didn't realise it was that bad.

All out in Kent I think.London is snow free.

Couple of inches in Alty, not bad, the powder snow was coming down 5am ish and then got heavier around 7 till 8.30

Stopped now, so radar time to see if those showers pep up and make it

Hoping it makes it mate, it's looking a bit thin. Cracking radar further northeast, would be nice if some of those showers make it as they are merging together now.

I’ve never understood why people clear the driveways and path. Not like you can’t walk or drive on it? Makes things worse usually with ice underneath. It’s easier to walk on snow. usually sit there with a nice warm cup of tea watching the one or two neighbours doing this and still to this day don’t understand the benefits. Plus I prefer seeing the driveway covered in snow, it’s boss

My pretty dogs with the hills towards glossop in the background.

So you can see, it seems maybe Merseyside got more than eastern Manchester areas for once! :)

Think that is the last for me, unless the bands in the east can make it across the Dales, which I would normally think had no chance, but there is snow on the ground i Preston, so this isnt normal.

10 minutes before it starts again. Not bothered how heavy it  is really just as long as it keeps the sun away for is long as possible.

Showers out East seem to be organising into intense bands. Snow falling here still but judging by the more East to West movement of the precipitation, I would say these are the showers now reaching us after the trough.
