A dusting here in Carlisle, minus 1.

The proper cold air filtering in today and when the wind picks up it’s gonna feel bitter! More snow please....

I did say last night both the ICON and GFS had the trough coming through overnight here. :)

Hopefully the clearance doesn't come until after 3/4pm here. Could do with that sun staying away today.

I'm hoping for it to stay cloudy all day too!

Snow day for me and one of the kidlets... Sadly the youngest is in, so I'll have to walk through 2" of lovely, white, fresh and crunchy snow to get him there. Oh, woe is me...

To be honest, Euro 4 has been hopeless. It was abysmal yesterday, underestimated shower development and it was suggesting no lying snow for our region for this morning. Can not take this model seriously now without a gritter load of salt!

Beautiful out there, maybe 2cm in centre of Preston a bit more possibly.    2cm of lying powder snow, and 30cm long icicles under the bridge into Avenham Park, thats already made this a memorable spell for whatever ever happens next.

I'm in the amber warning, east Manchester and I have 2-3cms.

I don't want to slag the met office, but they really have been bad with their weather warnings this winter.
