Looks like a direct hit to me. Just hope the mountainous regions dont sap all the energy

Nah they don’t generally do that with lows, showers yes, but they have less effect on lows

Take the net-weather radar with a huge pinch of salt (and black pepper to taste!). It says I should be under a band of heavy snow. There is none. Whatsoever.

Covering over nicely now and ahead of time. Gonna be bad later in the morning. For sure.

Just been asleep and I just woken up and seen its snowing outside with a light covering! Surely your location got some?

Either way, the radar suggests it's northern  parts of the region at the moment that is doing well, wonder if the front end up further North in the end? Either way it shows its never straight forward predicting how things will go.

Yes, and for once the change has worked in my favour!

Got a lovely 3cms covering of dry snow and more to come

Nice.. and forecasts barely mentioned Cumbria instead being obsessed with mentioning the Midlands yet they as of yet look like barely recieved anything. Got to say, won't surprised me if southern parts of the region starts to get snowfall now, you can see the energy heading in a SSW direction so may have a peak what the radar is like in a few hours, hope others can get some snow.

Good Morning:hi:

Snowing at a steady pace.Light covering on Grass,Cars,Roads.:yahoo:

Radar spot on.

Honestly i was not Lamp Post watching at 2-30 this morning, reminds me of when i was a kid.

Frost on the windows then,on the insides and icicles a meter long hanging from the metal gutters.

Snow avalanches from the roof if a front door was slammed to hard.

Update as the morning goes on,twenty minutes or so.

Nice to see many must feel snow starved,a nice change.

May The Beast From The East continue.

As I posted late last ight, it' gone more west with Pea District on Southern Edge. Also Earlier it would seem as there is a clearance behind.

I have to say, with this system going further N, my hope for lying snow this week has diminished. Can't rely on showers in an E'ly here and the end of the week system is looking weaker and weaker.
