Well I've just seen something I've not seen on one of Preston's roads all winter ...... A gritter. They must be in full on panic mode if the roads round here are being gritted.

Is there any point gritting anything? Its bone dry and no frost as such tonight, too dry the air.

The ECM precipitation charts don't look good for tomorrow. Not far of what the euro 4 is showing.

I'm new to this forum but are the majority of people in the model discussion situated in the South? As i seem to notice a lot of people saying the outlook is bad, but its half decent for the north, regarding my interests?

Yeh the model thread is for the use of our southern friends only.

northerners can enter but at your peril and certainly don’t post anything that may raise our prospects at the expense of theirs.

worth noting perhaps but in Rome it's currently -3C in some parts, which for the that part of the world is extremely low for this time of night. 

Tomorrow night Rome is expecting -6C

That puts thing into perspective a little.

Upgrade from met office app!!

It has now put me down heavy snow from 5am to 8am, light 8am to 9am, heavy again from that time to 11am.

Both the GFS and ICON agreeing for the trough past through our region.
